 Rogan's Pearly Extractor
 hook   Mustad 3906B Size 10 to 6, or other wet fly hook (e.g., 3399, 3906) with a similar shank length
 thread   6/0 Grey (I prefer flat nylon)
 underbody   UNI Stretch - White
 tail   Red fibres from golden pheasant body feather, tied at least twice the body length
 rib   French Oval Silver Tinsel
 body   Pearlescent Mylar Tinsel - medium
 hackle   One red and one yellow golden pheasant body feather, folded and wound
 collar   Red ostrich herl
 wing   Natural bronze mallard or mallard flank dyed to imitate woodduck or natural teal flank
 head   Grey tying thread

This is a variation of a pattern originally developed by Michael Rogan of Ballyshannon, Donegal, Ireland.  Michael was the great grandson of the founder of “Rogan’s of Donegal,” a venerable fly shop operating since 1830 in Ireland.  

NOTE: The Club can supply the Golden Pheasant feathers.  William will provide red ostrich herl.
